Broster Buchanan is a brand built and committed to simplifying the financial sector recruitment process for clients across multiple markets. To gain traction in the market from the off, the company’s image needed to be design led. Our brief included branding this new recruitment firm, designing corporate literature to communicate core brand messages across editorial pieces and designing & developing a bespoke WordPress website. The website needed to integrate with Broster Buchanan’s CRM software to ensure an easy, seamless approach to managing client vacancies across all digital channels. With a short timeframe, a sizeable pool of work and ambitious goals, we went to task with delivering on all levels.
Our process started with an in-depth discovery session with the client, we needed to understand the ideas, USP and service offering of the business. Our discovery process aims to get under the skin of the business, answering questions about who the company will help and how they will accomplish this. To help us carry out the project we needed to define the traits and tone of Broster Buchanan, establishing vision, goals and important values. Defining these enables the brand to master accurate communication to clients, candidates, team members and suppliers. Once brand traits and values had been established we created some logo identity concepts for this ambitious recruitment firm. This part of our process resulted in numerous identities, colour palettes and compositions that we revised and nurtured until we uncovered a clear direction for the brand.
Once we had produced multiple strong contenders for the final logo design, and reviewed with our client, we then mocked up visuals for design materials such as editorial adverts and business cards. To ensure the final identity concept was the perfect solution for the brand, we evaluated it directly against the brand traits and values. The chosen brand stood tall and was an evident solution. Before presenting it to the client, we continued to refine and finesse the motif, word mark and colour palette.
