SCH Better Places mission is to make Solihull a cleaner and greener place to live and work. We were approached to redevelop their website with the ambition to position them as a leading environmental cleansing service provider within Solihull. The Wider creative team felt this was a perfect opportunity for collaboration; with their company environmental values aligning well with our own. A priority for the new website was to more effectively communicate their full range of environmental services and improve appeal to both commercial and residential visitors.
We strategised with the SCH Better Places team and outlined goals, challenges and milestones. We consulted on photography, visual assets, brand development, colour palette and tone of message to ensure the new website design was attractive, engaging and on-brief. We built the new site on our platform of choice, WordPress – the most widely deployed web publishing platform in the world, used for its simplicity to manage, edit and add content. We know how to get the very best performance and flexibility from this content management system, with our Head of Digital having over 12 years experience of extending this system. Our websites are bespoke, built on-top of WordPress and custom designed to deliver great performance and easy content management.
To ensure SCH Better Places service offering and expertise were clearly presented we completely re-engineered the website structure, presentation, calls to action and crafted easy-to-use enquiry forms. We introduced a News section with powerful categorisation of articles to build relationships between content. Publishing regular news content to the site offers great SEO benefits, especially for improved local appeal. The News section also integrates with social media which shares regular updates on recent SCH projects. To improve user experience we designed and deployed a simple yet effective inner service navigation menu to extend the user journey and allow the user to easily flow through the core service pages minimising unnecessary clicks, actions and scrolling. We combine good design principles and patterns with clear strategy to create and implement simple mechanisms that improve visitor engagement and natural lead conversion. We continue to work with SCH Better Places providing on-going design for both printed and digital marketing campaigns.
